Case Study: Charlie Field

12 Apr 2019

At Endeavour we have been fortunate to have many people generously supporting us over the years. This month Charlie Field is raising money for us by competing in both the Virgin Money London Marathon and the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon. Charlie’s fundraising efforts enable us to continue to improve the futures of young people in need of support.

In Endeavour, Charlie is supporting a cause which he believes in, one which provides a notable and real difference to people’s lives. Our vision of broadening future opportunities for young people without access to mainstream education resonates with Charlie. With Endeavour’s long-standing history of achievements, Charlie can have confidence that his fundraising attempts will achieve such aims.

Charlie is no stranger to marathons, having taken part in a fair few over the years. This time he set himself the personal challenge of surpassing his personal best time, which he did at last week’s ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon with a time of 03:17:50, before attempting to break the Guinness World Record in the Virgin Money London Marathon for the ‘Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Shoe!’

Speaking of Endeavour, Charlie tells us – “I found out about Endeavour and their wonderful work through my good friend Patrick Callingham, who is Head of the Education Centre.” In reference to why he has chosen to fundraise for Endeavour, he added “I believe every young person deserves a positive future regardless of their past.”

Charlie is aiming to raise £2,500 to support disadvantaged young people and is is well on his way at over £2,000 raised so far. To donate in support of Charlie, please visit his Virgin Money Giving page.
