Future Proof

Project Aims

The aim of the Future:proof Framework is to develop a needs led, personalised approach to reduce still further Sheffield's NEETs cohort, increase participation at 17 and 18 and increase the attainment of level 2 at 19.

Our Future:proof programme gets 16-18 year olds (back) into habits that are helpful / essential when accessing and sustaining training courses or employment. The outdoor and challenging activities we encourage young people to participate in are high impact; promoting teamwork, communication skills, self-confidence and safety.   ‘Doing them;’ requires turning up on time, with the correct equipment (all key skills that tutors and employers expect in young people).  At the end of our programme; in addition to ‘an up-to-date C.V. and an NCFE qualification - ‘Working Together’ our young people are more able to initiate conversations with potential training providers and employers.
