Moving On Up

A personal and social development programme involving experiential learning to enable young people to build a positive future.

Target Clients

Young people aged 16-18 not in education, employment or training (NEET) or those identified as at serious risk of becoming NEET.

Programme Format

Two full days a week for six weeks, twelve days in total.

Programme Content

Challenging activities in the outdoors to improve and develop soft skills. training sessions to provide skills for employment and promote a safe, healthy and positive future; including First Aid, financial capability, drugs awareness and sexual health awareness. Information, advice and guidance and signposting are available through out on issues affecting young people.

Peer Mentoring

Young people who complete the Moving On Up programme have the opportunity to become "Peer Mentors", supporting the next group of young people to take part in the course by sharing their experiences.
