Volunteer Profile: Gabrielius Mankevicius

22 May 2018

At Endeavour, we are lucky enough to have several brilliant volunteers who give their time to support young people. We’d like to profile some of these volunteers so everyone can find out how great they are!

In the first of our volunteer profiles, we hear from Gab.

Who are you and what do you do when you’re not at Endeavour?

My name is Gab and I have a cleaning company called Mr Bit Cleaning Services. When not at Endeavour I do lots of other charitable things like volunteering to feed the homeless, donating to charities and walking dogs for Millhouses Animal Sanctuary.

How long have you been volunteering at Endeavour and what do you do here?

I’ve been volunteering at Endeavour for around a month, working with learners at the Endeavour Education Centre. I help out in sessions as a mentor and I’m looking forward to getting involved with more outdoor activities.

What do you enjoy about volunteering at Endeavour?

I like helping the learners and seeing them progress. I also like meeting new people.

Why is volunteering important and what would you say to encourage others to get involved?

Some people are less fortunate than others and I think giving back to the local community is important – I’m a big believer in Karma!
