Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Charity. The Trustees, are elected by the members at the AGM and are responsible for:

  • Safeguarding the good name and values of the organisation
  • Acting in the best interests of the Charity
  • The overall policy, direction and control of the organisation
  • Shaping strategy
  • Ensuring financial stability
  • Improving performance

The Board meets four times per year to review strategy and performance, together with the Chief Executive and his Executive Team.

The Members of the Board are all personally committed to the values and work of Endeavour, and bring a wide range of expertise including Young Peoples Services professionals, experts from the Police, Probation, law and business, together with a Young Persons representative. Collectively, this gives the Board the authority and perspective it needs to act in the best interests of Young People.

Elected Trustees serve a three-year term of office. Trustees are restricted to serving not more than three terms of three-years. On appointment, Trustees receive an information pack and attend an induction programme, both of which focus on their role and responsibilities and the governance and structure of the Charity.

The Board is advised by a shadow Young Peoples Board known as VOICE!
