What are we?The most common misconception about Endeavour is that we are an “Outward Bound” organisation. In fact, we are a learning and educational organisation that simply uses outdoor activity as an accessible way into learning, greater self-awareness and skills development. PartnershipOur approach to partnership working means that we can respond flexibly to funder demands without eroding quality. Our partners are carefully chosen to complement our own strengths and core business. We work with them on the principle of enlightened self-interest. We look particularly for opportunities to develop consortia bids Referral partners include: YOTs, Probation, Connexions, LEA Behaviour Support Services, Pupil Referral Units, JCP, Schools Delivery partners include: voluntary and community organizations whose core activity complements our own, private sector companies, statutory sector organizations eg Connexions, Probation. Why choose us?• We know how to work with unmotivated and challenging people. Contribution to national policy issuesEndeavour contributes to key national policy issues. Team Endeavour in schools was designed to focus on disaffection. We now also deliver programmes that tackle achievement. We are well placed to deliver on Leitch, linking skills more closely to employability, by developing services that reflect alternative, but more realistic pathways to work for our clients. We have responded to the national NOMS agenda of effective resettlement and reducing reconviction through our OLASS Adult and Youth programmes in the East Midlands. We continue to contribute to the NEET agenda through our pre NEET programmes in schools, our IMPACT programmes assisting retention in colleges, and our specialised motivational programmes for highly disaffected and disengaged young people.
